Congratulations to Assistant Chief Richard Davis, who recently graduated from the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer program! This four-year comprehensive curriculum provides senior fire officers with a broad perspective on various facets of fire and emergency services administration. The courses and accompanying research examine how to exercise leadership when dealing with difficult or unique problems within communities.
To graduate, students must complete an Applied Research Project that relates to their organization within six months after the completion of each of the four courses. Chief Davis' project focused on the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UASs) in the fire service, which was the impetus for our groundbreaking work in this area with the formation of our Robotics Emergency Deployment (RED) Team!
